Delivery Model

Our ability to offer a variety of delivery options is unmatched.

Which delivery model better fits your needs ?

Design-Bid-Build (DBB)

A traditional delivery model where the owner bids the design and construction of the project to separate firms.

  • Design phase
  • Bidding (tender) phase
  • Construction phase

Project Examples

Design-Build (DB)

A project delivery model in which the owner contracts the design and construction to a single entity.

  • Minimize risk to owner
  • Reduced delivery schedule
  • Single point of responsibility

Project Examples

Design-Build-Operate (DBO)

DBO delivery method extends the DB delivery method to include operations. The owner continues to own the facility or equipment.

  • Minimized risk to the owner through reduced capital and maintenance costs as well as performance guarantees
  • Reduced delivery schedule
  • Single point of responsibility
  • Incentive for improved technology

Project Examples

Design-Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (DBOOT)

This delivery model involves a public sector partner contracting to a private entity to design, build, operate, and own a large infrastructure project for a specified amount of time—typically long term. The private firm will transfer ownership to the public sector partner at the end of the term.

  • Public-Private Partnership (P3)
  • Private partner assumes all risks associated with planning, constructing, operating, and maintaining project for specified time period.

Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR)

Project delivery method that requires the Construction Manager (CM) to deliver the project with a Guaranteed Maximum Price.

  • CM provides professional services to owner
  • CM often offers some of the actual construction
  • Owner has higher level of cost control
  • CM manages project on behalf of owner—less risk to owner
